Medical Disclaimer
The calculators on FitCalc are for general information and education only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and they do not replace an assessment by a qualified health professional.
1. Estimates, not measurements
Every calculator here uses a published formula applied to the values you enter. Those formulas are derived from population averages, so they describe a typical person, not you specifically. Individual metabolism, body composition, genetics, medication and health conditions all cause real variation. A result may be noticeably off for athletes, children, pregnant people, older adults, or anyone with a medical condition.
2. Not a substitute for professional care
Do not use these calculators to diagnose, treat or manage any health condition, to decide whether to take or stop medication, or to make decisions about a pregnancy. Always seek the advice of a doctor, dietitian or other qualified health professional with any questions about your health. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read or calculated here.
3. Seek emergency help
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately. If a blood-pressure tool here shows a hypertensive crisis reading, or you feel unwell, do not wait for a website — contact emergency services or your doctor.
4. Accuracy and updates
We try to use current, well-established formulas and we describe each one on its page. Even so, we cannot guarantee that any figure is accurate, complete or up to date, and guidance does change over time. Use the results at your own risk.
5. Questions or corrections
Found an error or disagree with a formula? Email hello@fitcalchub.com and we will look into it.
